Everyone knows that Littleton, NH is a charming, fun New England town for shopping, antiquing, and dining. But hiking – in Littleton?  Yes! There are a few really neat hiking / walking areas you should check out next time you are here. One of the best local hiking trail in Littleton New Hampshire is the Kilburn Crags Trail,  starting just a few miles from Rabbit Hill Inn, on Route 18.

The Kilburn Crags trail is a rocky outcropping on the northeastern shoulder of modest Walker Mountain. It is known mainly to Littleton locals. Be assured this is not an epic adventure. With easy footing and low mileage, it is a perfect hike if you are just getting your hiking legs, short on time but want a great view,  or if you simply want some quality time in the woods without straying far from Rabbit Hill Inn or Littleton’s Main Street area.  It’s 1.4 miles round trip, takes about an hour, and the top elevation is 1,300 feet.  At the top, you’ll capture views of Littleton, the Ammonoosuc River Valley, the Presidential Range,  as well as Lafayette and Cannon Mountains to the right.
