2019 WORLD’S BEST AWARDS BY TRAVEL+LEISURE

Rated #1 Best Resort Hotel in the Northeast, #3 TOP Resort Hotel in the USA, and #27 of the TOP 100 Hotels in the World

Lower Waterford, VT – On July 10th, Travel+Leisure Magazine revealed the winners of the 24th Annual World’s Best Awards including the Top 100 Hotels in the World. Rabbit Hill Inn, a luxury inn tucked away in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, surpassed its prior years’ rankings, both domestically and globally, to be named #1 Top Resort Hotel in the Northeast, #3 Top Resort Hotel in the USA, and #27 of Top 100 Hotels in the World.

Travel+Leisure World’s Best Awards are considered one of the most significant accolades in travel. To be included on this list is a world-renowned mark of excellence for travel and hospitality companies globally. The award honors the finest travel experiences in the world selected by Travel+Leisure’s global readership of discerning travelers. Over 300,000 readers participate in the annual survey. They rate their travel experiences and evaluate hotels across the world on characteristics such as rooms, location, service, food, value, and overall guest experience.

Brian and Leslie Mulcahy, owners of Rabbit Hill Inn, said “We are ecstatic to learn of our place on the T+L World’s Best Awards list! This is the most significant honor in the travel industry. Receiving this amazing accolade is also humbling.  To be in the company of the most exclusive resorts and hideaways in the most exotic of locations like Tanzania, Fiji, Dubai, and Asia is truly mind-blowing!”

With an impressive score of 96.89 compiled from survey respondents’ ratings, Rabbit Hill Inn took its place among only the most luxurious hotels and exclusive getaway destinations around the globe.  Only a handful of inns made it to the T+L World’s Best list putting Rabbit Hill Inn on a very short list of top inns in the world.

Rabbit Hill Inn is no stranger to this esteemed list as the inn appeared on T+L’s World’s Best Hotels list in 2018, 2017, 2012, 2011, and 2009.  However, the 2019 rankings are higher than ever before.

“Knowing that our score comes primarily from guests who took the time to rate their experience brings us the biggest satisfaction,” said Leslie Mulcahy, co-owner of the Rabbit Hill Inn. “The commendation from our guests, placing us among the very best worldwide, is the highest attribution we as innkeepers and our staff could ever ask for.  And it’s a testament to our amazing Rabbit Hill Inn staff. This award speaks to their commitment to consistently provide our signature guest experience, brilliant cuisine, and exceptional service with warmth and sincerity” added Brian Mulcahy, also co-owner of the Rabbit Hill Inn.

“For 24 years, our readers have been voting in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. This annual franchise is a global collection of the top hotels, islands, cities, cruise lines, airlines, and more”, says Editor-in-Chief Jacqueline Gifford. “Brands and properties from all over the world—from Peru to Japan, India to Italy, and right here at home in the United States—are recognized by our audience because they deliver on exceptional experiences, rooted in a sense of place. I congratulate all of this year’s winners, who have worked so hard to be among the world’s best.”

The 2019 World’s Best Awards lists, as well as survey methodology, are currently featured on www.travelandleisure.com/worldsbest and will appear in the August issue of the magazine.
