Grand Marnier Chocolate Cobbler
(yields 6 servings)


Ingredients and preparation of the chocolate part:

4 oz butter
2 eggs
¼ cup Grand Marnier
6 oz semi sweet chocolate, chopped
2 Tbls sugar

Directions
  • Melt butter and add chocolate. Stir until melted.
  • Remove from heat.
  • In a separate bowl, mix eggs, sugar, and Grand Marnier.
  • Stir in chocolate mixture.
  • Pour into 6 greased ramekins and chill.

Ingredients and preparation of the cobbler batter:

3 Tbls butter, melted
½ sugar
¼ cup milk
2 Tbls Grand Marnier
½ cup all purpose flour
2 Tbls cocoa
¼ cup boiling water
½ tsp baking powder

Directions
  • Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder.
  • Stir in milk, Grand Marnier, and butter.
  • Stir in boiling water and mix until incorporated.
  • Pour batter over the chocolate mixture in each of the ramekins.
  • Bake at 325°F until a knife or tester probe comes out clean when inserted in the middle.
  • Turn upside-down on a plate. Serve with chocolate sauce and mocha ice cream.
